This seminar is designed primarily for tracking enthusiasts whose dog(s) have achieved a Tracking Dog (TD) title, and are working towards the Tracking Dog Excellent (TDX) title. Priority for the participating positions will be given to those who have earned a TD. However, the clinic provides valuable information and experience for anyone interested in advancing their tracking and dog handling skills and learning what is involved in an actual TDX trial.
There will be field sessions as well as classroom work with multi-media presentations. As a participant, you will use a "head cam" to record the handler's view of the tracking dog and will be provided a copy of the recording. This will allow you to review the session to further observe and understand the unique and subtle cues of your dog as it works out the track. A field session of cross tracks, a TDX demonstration, and a tracklaying session are also included in the 2-day seminar.
Lunch will be provided for both days.
